This Park is a UNESCO World Biosphere with one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in Africa and perhaps the whole world. Over 90 spp of mammal and 610 bird species as we drive through, we are most likely going to encounter Elephants, Cape Buffalo, Topi, the elusive giant forest hog and the handsome Uganda Kob, the shy Bushbuck may be seen seeking haven in the shrubs of course not leaving out the elusive Leopard on good days. However, the days focus today will be t tree climbing lions always spotted by out nature guides, be participative in the search for all these, it is your vacation, we make it fun all together!. We later check in at Wilderness Camp or Savannah Resort. FB

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO NORTHERN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

We start very early in the morning with a game safari in the park trails is we spent the night at Wilderness camp or else have an early breakfast then proceed to the park, much as this sector’s lions have adopted to climbing the figs and acacia, at this time of the day they might be still doe and hunting; note that there are few places in the world where lions are adopted to climbing, much as all lions do climb, this is a special adaptation here, mostly when it gets hot and the nature of trees in this section is pretty unique and sightings have been here  at times in Kidepo Valley and the Lake Manyara National Park in the Southern part of Tanzania, many of these predators do this as a way of protecting themselves against the numerous biting ants on the ground level, whereas other people claim the they actually climb into the branches to escape from the heat on the ground and enjoy the cool breeze; nonetheless the reason why they climb up into the tree branches is left to natural history researchers and nature lovers. As it gets hot, our chances will become big for these cats but also the focus should not be diverted away from the other game. We shall later continue and check in at drive Jacana Eco-lodge or Marafiki lodge Safari Camp.FB

DAY 7: MORNING GAME SAFARI AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

It is dawn and we just want to catch up with some nocturnal game that might be out till then, so we shall start with a cup of Coffee or Tea or a full breakfast with our picnic lunch then spend the whole day looking out for game and birds. As we drive along we might encounter herds of Elephants moving feeding lions always find shrubs and shelter at this time, herds of Cape Buffaloes will be actively grazing and birds will be waking up, the African Crake is always watched on by the rail sides and Red Necked Francolins litter the park termite mounds, birds of prey will be soaring allover, today the sky is the best habitat for that, just keep on the watch, add you pair to the one pair your guide had and make the eyes more pairs not to miss out on the wildlife your guide might not notice as we are completely in the wild!

After this morning game safari, we ride to the Mweya peninsular to catch our boat along the Kazinga Channel where expecting to see hippos, elephants cooling off, non-breeding Cape buffalo herds, Hundreds of birds roost and forage here, a few crocodiles and at the end of it all, It is a tremendous boat ride which most of our clients refer to as the highlight of this 10 days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari we later head back to our lodge for dinner and overnight stay. as we drive out, a late evening game drive will be very rewarding, watch out for more nocturnal birds and game.
