5 Days Kidepo Valley by Road

A true African wilderness Safari experience

Many people have described it as the most epic and rewarding journey. By road seems long but is very scenic and beautiful. Experiencing the diversity of wildlife and birds in this semi arid valley is the most rewarding experience of  an African safari. The game drives on the ragged tracks through the open savanna with the jagged mountain peaks in the background give you a true feel of the true African Safaris wilderness Experience. The beautiful sunsets and sunrise are surely something to watch out for. DAY1: ENTEBBE/KAMPALA-KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

DAY 2: ARRIVAL IN KIDEPO VALLEY AND GAME DRIVE

DAY 3: GAME DRIVE-KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

DAY 4: EXPLORING KIDEPO FURTHER – KIDEPO.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE KAMPALA ON WARDS

 DAY1: ENTEBBE/KAMPALA-KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Early morning you will be picked up from the agreed point and start off on the long journey to Uganda’s most isolated park yet the most magnificent. From the arid savanna that spreads out far into the horizons to the seasonal Naurus River make the valley an amazing view point. Make a few stopovers before arriving in Gulu where you will spend the night. Overnight at Acholi inn. BB

DAY 2: ARRIVAL IN KIDEPO VALLEY AND GAME DRIVE

Early morning after breakfast continue our drive before finally arriving into the park. Check into your accommodation and relax a bit before taking on an evening game drive where you may catch a glimpse of buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis and elephants along the Naurus Valley– and even the odd jackal. You may even be able to locate lions, sunbathing on rocks. Drive back tom the lodge as you take in the views of the open savanna enhanced by the sunset Overnight at either Apoka Safari lodge or Nga’moru wilderness camp FB

 DAY 3: GAME DRIVE-KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Depart on a morning game drive to the Kanangorok hot springs via the palm tree lined Kidepo River. Here you may be lucky enough to encounter ostriches and leopard tortoises along the way. On payment of a supplement you may enjoy your breakfast in the wilderness as you marvel at the awesome sunrise. In the afternoon after lunch you may take on a nature walk in the semi arid valleys of the park; this is very rewarding especially for the bird lovers.  DAY 4: EXPLORING KIDEPO FURTHER – KIDEPO.

Every day is a new day in the Kidepo valley with every game drive seemingly different from the previous one even if you take the same track over and over. Enjoy another game drive as you drive to Visit the Lorokul Cultural Group and explore the fascinating, ancient culture of the Karamajong. Visit traditional homesteads, sample local dishes and hear stories of the folklore of this remote tribe. Share and learn with them as you interact. If time allows you may also visit the ik tribe as well. Overnight at either Apoka Safari lodge or Nga’moru wilderness camp FB

DAY 5: DEPARTURE KAMPALA ONWARDS

Very early in the morning we will have a good breakfast before driving back to Kampala.
